Early bird pricing is available until Thurs Jan 8 for a fee of $55. Only those registered by the end of day on Wednesday Jan 14 with payment will be accepted into the tryout. Players who are sick or injured and can’t attend tryouts must contact the office, info@saskatoonyouthsoccer.ca, prior to the registration deadline. PSL Tryout times - times may be adjusted based on registration numbers.
In January, players in the Re-Evaluate category and other interested athletes not currently in the program will attend an open tryout. Already selected player will also attend tryouts to help with numbers for tryouts. Refunds may be issued if players do not need to attend. From this process, the coaching staff will: o Identify “Players of Potential” - Trial Training Opportunities • Identified “Players of Potential” may be invited to train with the respective Alliance age group team for up to four (4) sessions. • These sessions will allow for better integration and deeper assessment within the team setting. • After the trial period, the head coach will confirm whether a roster spot will be offered. Selection: Players will be notified in March | Training: The set established player fees will cover two weekly training sessions commencing April 7th until July 26, 2025. Dates for training will be determined by coach and field availability. Games: The number of province-wide entries will determine the number of regular season games. The player fee is estimated to cover 1-2 weekly games starting around May 14th/15th until July 26th. Teams should be prepared to play on weekdays and all weekends. The PSL semi-finals and finals are TBA. Families must be prepared to travel to either Regina or Saskatoon to participate in playoffs. Sports Science Sessions: The fees will cover one weekly training session for 15 weeks commencing from the week of Apr 6th to the week of July 26th with Ignite Athletics. Dates for training will be determined by SYSI and Ignite Athletics. | Athlete Assistance Fund SYSI has a dedicated fund for those who meet eligible financial criteria. You must register your child with a Zone or the Saskatoon Alliance prior to applying for funding from the Saskatoon Youth Soccer Inc. Athlete fund. You should apply as soon as possible after your child has been registered, as it can take up to 30 days for applications to be processed. Funding cannot be applied to program that have already ended. |
