Apr. 01, 2024

Reports of racism, discrimination, and other forms of abuse are taken and dealt with seriously. If someone has been a victim or witness of abuse and wishes to pursue a complaint they may do so by one of two ways:

SSA Independent Complaint Process: Saskatchewan Soccer Association has partnered with ITP Sport & Recreation to provide independent complaints intake and management.  Complaints can be filed through the online form or by phoning the complaints hotline anytime at 1-866-921-6714. Questions surrounding the process can be answered by contacting Steven at s.porter@sasksoccer.com. A flow chart of the complaints process can be seen below and a video with more information surrounding the process can be seen here

SYSI Complaint Process: Alternatively, if you wish your Zone or the opposing Zone (whichever applies to the situation) to handle the complaint, you may put your concern in writing to info@saskatoonyouthsoccer.ca and SYSI will ensure it is provided to the appropriate Zone President who will then inform their Zone's internal discipline committee to conduct an investigation and provide a report back to SYSI as to how the complaint was handled within 10 days. If the report does not meet your satisfaction, it can then be appealed to the SYSI Discipline Committee to further investigate.
