Saskatoon Youth Soccer Inc. (SYSI), Saskatchewan's largest youth soccer organization, is a non profit organization that has been a leader in the Saskatchewan soccer community since its inception in 1984. SYSI is collective of five zone clubs encompassing the entire city of Saskatoon, and has launched the new Alliance League and Academy designed to improve the competitive level, with the City League providing an option for players who desire a more relaxed atmosphere.

Saskatoon Youth Soccer is excited to offer opportunities for suitably qualified coaches to fill positions with the Saskatoon Alliance boys and girls programs for ages U11 to U19. Candidates are offered the opportunity to work in a high-quality setting providing excellent facilities and the unique opportunity for continued professional development. Candidates will be a part of a coaching team and mentorship opportunities with Technical Directors in Saskatoon. 

  • Position title: Saskatoon Alliance Academy

  • Minimum requirements:
    • Head Coach
      • Coaching Certification:
        • U11 / U13 ~ C License Certified or equivalent experience.
        • U15 / U17 ~ B License Part 1 Trained or Youth License Trained
      • NCCP Making Ethical Decision and/or NCCP Making Ethical Decision Online Evaluation
      • NCCP Making Head Way in Soccer
      • Respect in Sport - Up to date
      • Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
    • Assistant Coach
      • Coaching Certification:
        • U11 / U13 ~ C License Trained or equivalent experience. 
        • U15 / U17 ~ C License Certified
      • NCCP Making Ethical Decision and/or NCCP Making Ethical Decision Online Evaluation
      • NCCP Making Head Way in Soccer
      • Respect in Sport - Up to date
      • Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

  • Coach Roles & Responsibilities:
    • The coach-athlete relationship is a privileged one and plays a critical role in the personal, sport, and athletic development of the athlete. Coaches must understand and respect the inherent power imbalance that exists in this relationship and must be careful not to abuse it, consciously or unconsciously. 
    • Coach Expectations:
      • Coaches are expected to lead in the development of an excellent learning environment, and to be familiar with and practice Transformational Coaching principle.  
      • Coaches Code of Conduct
  • Current Criminal Record Check:  A copy of a valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector must be submitted to the SYSI Office at info@saskatoonyouthsoccer.ca. If you need to obtain one please select volunteer on your online submission and keep the receipt. Those selected will be reimbursed the fee upon submission of receipt.

  • Additional Information: A CV (optional) outlining your qualifications for the coaching position you are applying for may be submitted to the SYSI Office to info@saskatoonyouthsoccer.ca.
